Have your students pick a trend they've lived through or go even further back with this nostalgic trend. Rather than picking a specific theme, ask your students to dress for whatever weather they love or hate the most. Some will bundle up in mittens and hats, while others sport shorts and tees. Some will rock those fall flannels, and others will show up with flip flops and sunglasses! Either way, this flurry of fun will be unforgettable for you and your students. Wacky Tacky Day
Now that your students have officially made it through the school year, they may have some advice for future students entering their grade level. Your students can write letters to next year’s students, telling them what they’ll love and can expect the next year. They can give them advice and write an encouraging message.
Smiling can actually make you feel happier, so it might be worth it to force a smile even if you aren’t having the best day. Having a good sense of humor can make you seem cuter, too. Any combination of a graphic tee and leather is a forever outfit win.
To begin, students will draw a picture of their ice cream sundae creation on a piece of card stock or construction paper. Leave a space at the bottom of the paper large enough to glue on a large notecard. At the park, your students can play, socialize, and even participate in organized relay races and games set up by you and your parent volunteers. Start your day with organized games and then let your students play on the playground before eating a special snack or sack lunch at the park.
Most high schools have spirit week in the fall, but don't let that stop you from having fun with this one. Middle school spirit days can get a little bit tricky since middle schoolers may feel more self-conscious about participating.
